1st love brownwood september 10th
So often in ministry when we think of living missional as the call on our lives to go to a country far away from our homes and insert ourselves into a culture that we know nothing about. Love Brownwood is understanding that missions starts everyday that you wake up. It is so easy to forget that every single day there are people in our backyards in desperate need of a loving touch, kind word or just a simple acknowledgement of their existence. Acts 1:8 says "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to ME in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." It is our belief that we have abandoned Jerusalem (Brownwood) or any local town that you are involved in, and focus primarily on the ends of the earth. We want to spend time developing relationships and building community in the area God has us now.
